Al-Awn Foundation for Development implemented the mobile medical clinics project for the first time in Shabwa governorate (Al-Mudhalal camp in Ataq district) under the supervision of the Public Health and Population Office in Shabwa Governorate and with coordination of the Executive Unit Office for the Management of IDPs Camps in the governorate and the presence of Dr. Saleh Faraj, Director of Health Care at the Health and Population Office, Shabwa Governorate.
The mobile clinic aims to provide primary health care services within the camps of the displaced people and raise health awareness of the importance of disease prevention, as the camps suffer from the spread of many epidemics and diseases among the displaced and the spread of malnutrition cases.
Dr. Saleh Faraj, Director of Health Care at the Public Health and Population Office in Shabwa Governorate, explained that the project's capacity was large, thanking Al-Awn Foundation for Development for providing these projects, which are considered to be of very important need in the camps of the displaced in light of the spread of epidemics and infectious diseases of various kinds.
The project coordinator, Mr. Muhammad Al-Duqail, indicated that the number of beneficiaries in this camp reached 1056, divided as follows: 86 examinations in the pediatric clinic, 109 in the internal clinic, 42 in the obstetrics and gynecology clinic, 28 beneficiaries of reproductive health services, 8 cases of malnutrition, and 719 laboratory examination cases. The , as well as 290 beneficiaries of awareness and education, and 61 hygiene bags were distributed to the beneficiaries, as well as three maternity bags.
The people of the camp expressed their thanks to Al-Awn Foundation for Development for its standing and support for such medical campaigns, praising the efforts of the Foundation and the medical staff in implementing this humanitarian project and providing primary health care services.
