Under the supervision of the Ministry of Higher Education, Scientific Research, Technical Education, and Vocational Training, funded by Al-Awn Foundation for Development and implemented by Masa International Testing Company in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the Liaison Officers Course for universities participating in the National Ranking of Yemeni Universities was inaugurated today, Sunday, August 25th, in the temporary capital, Aden.
The course was launched with the participation of 21 trainees, including members of the Supreme Committee for the Ranking of Yemeni Universities and liaison officers from the universities participating in this year’s ranking. The opening was attended by members of the Systems and Information Committee of the Ministry of Higher Education.
This course is part of the project for the National Tool for Ranking Yemeni Universities, aiming to transform the tool into an electronic platform that is easy to use and contributes to a more professional ranking of Yemeni universities.
The project also aims to develop the National Tool for Ranking Yemeni Universities to become an effective tool that supports Yemeni universities in their journey towards achieving global rankings, developing their staff, and improving their outcomes.
It is also noted that the project targets several Yemeni public universities and 31 private universities, aiming to enhance the competitiveness of Yemeni universities.
The course was inaugurated in the presence of Dr. Khaled Basleem, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Higher Education, Scientific Research, Technical Education, and Vocational Training, Mr. Salem Ahmed, Program Specialist at Al-Awn Foundation for Development, as well as members of the Supreme Committee for the Ranking of Yemeni Universities and liaison officers from the universities participating in the national ranking for this year.
